Duane Lewis

  • The Dean of Basketball Shooting Coaches
  • Global Shot Doctor Founder & Director
  • Voted All-Time Colorado All-State Game Coach
  • Colorado High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame Inductee

Duane Lewis has coached his high school teams to over 325 wins in 24 years as a Head Coach in Colorado (USA)! In 9 years at Alamosa High School his teams won 121 games and set several state records for scoring and shooting percentage. In 15 years at Alameda High School, he led his troops to 205 victories.

Coach Lewis has guided teams to the prestigious Colorado State Tournament 10 times and has developed 3 All-Americans and numerous All-State and All-Conference players. He was also named Colorado Coach of the Year numerous times and as recently as 1991.

He is the Past-President of the Colorado Basketball Coaches Association where in one of his tenures in that office, he developed a new constitution. He was awarded the Tom Sutak Award in 1989.

Duane was driving force behind the ultra-successfull Shot Doctor Camps and Coaches Clinics. He introduced the "Shot Doctor Successful Six" shooting instructions. These are still being used by Shot Doctor Basketball, USA who purchased the rights to them.

The splitting of the original Shot Doctor Shooting Camps, Inc. into two companies occurred in 1985. The Denver Shot Doctor and Shot Doctor Basketball, USA have since run camps nationally and are in no way connected. Hence, GLOBAL SHOT DOCTOR is now expanding, out of Denver Shot Doctor, into a world wide camp because of the demand for Duane's expertise.
